Dennis Rodman Rebound

Dennis Rodman and His Biggest Individual Career Goal

Dennis Rodman, during his tenure with the San Antonio Spurs, revealed what his biggest goal in the NBA was: The Worm wanted to snag 40 rebounds in a single game.

While that sounds ambitious, let's not forget who we're talking about here: the "Rebound King," someone who, to this day, holds hard-to-compete-with records in rebounding. The fact that he's been retired for nearly 20 years and that still holds true is a testament to his unprecedented talent.

However, he never hit that 40 rebound record, but that's not to say he didn't get close. His record is 34 a game during his time with the Pistons.

Rodman, on his ultimate goal, said: "... that would be the ultimate dream for me to give to my child. That is the only thing that would make my life worthwhile from here on. That is the goal you probably can't achieve now in this game, but one day, it's going to happen, and when I do get it, that ball is mine," Dennis said. "After that, I'm flying right to Sacramento and giving the ball to my child."

Despite on hitting his ambitious goal of 40 rebounds in a single game, he did play a massive part in transforming the team into a force to be reckoned with.

Still, if he had made that 40 rebound personal record, he would be in good company: Nate Thurmond, Bill Russell, and Wilt Chamberlain all achieved the impressive feat. The latter of which received a whopping 55 rebounds in one game.

Regardless, Dennis Rodman remains one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history.
